Ayurvedic Face Cream
Dr. Upagade's cream range covers the three things a face cream can realistically do. It holds moisture in the skin, evens out tone over time, and keeps the barrier from breaking down. Every formulation is an Ayurvedic cream for face use, built on herbs and plant butters instead of strong synthetic actives. These are herbal face cream options made for Indian skin, Indian weather and daily use.
How to Apply Face Cream Correctly
Most creams underperform because of how they are used, not what is inside them. Four things matter, listed here in order of impact.
- Apply on damp skin: Cream seals in water rather than creating it. Apply it to bone-dry skin and half the benefit is lost.
- Use less than you feel like using: A pea-sized amount covers the whole face. Excess sits on top, blocks pores and does nothing extra.
- Move upward and outward, and pat rather than drag: Dragging stretches the skin around the eyes and jaw. That is where laxity shows first.
- Give it one full skin cycle: A herbal skin cream works with the skin's own repair rhythm, so change is gradual. Expect visible results in four to six weeks, not four to six days.
Applying Face Cream: Step, Method and Common Mistakes
| Step | What To Do | Common Mistake | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prep | Cleanse, then leave skin slightly damp | Towel-drying the face completely first | Cream locks in the water already on the skin |
| Amount | Pea-sized, split into four dots | Scooping out a fingerful for one use | Excess cream sits on the surface and clogs pores |
| Application | Spread upward and outward, then press in | Rubbing hard in circles | Friction irritates skin and worsens dark patches |
| Timing | Light cream in the morning, richer at night | Using a heavy cream under daytime sun | Skin repairs overnight, so richer textures suit night |
Using more cream does not speed anything up. Using the same cream daily does.
Our Face Cream Range
Our creams are grouped by the concern they are formulated for, so you pick one and stay with it:
- Skin brightening creams: An ayurvedic skin brightening cream suits dull, tired and unevenly toned skin that looks flat rather than damaged.
- D-tan creams: D-Tan Cream is for tanning from sun, travel and commuting, which is the most common complaint in Indian climates.
- Dark spot and pigmentation creams: A pigmentation cream that is Ayurvedic in formulation works slowly on melanin build-up. Use a herbal cream for dark spots alongside daily sun protection, or the spots simply return.
One cream at a time is enough. Stacking three creams for three concerns is the most common reason a routine stops working.
The Herbs and Butters in Our Face Creams
Each ingredient in our formulations does one job, which makes choosing simpler.
- Saffron and turmeric: These support a brighter, more even tone on tanned and marked skin. Both appear in our D-Tan Glow Combo.
- Manjistha and licorice: These are classical Ayurvedic herbs used for pigmentation, dark spots and blotchy tone. Our Wang Special cream is built on them.
- Shea butter for dry skin: This rich plant butter repairs a dry, flaking barrier. A shea butter face cream suits winter, air-conditioned offices and skin that feels tight after washing.
- Aloe vera for redness: Aloe calms heat and redness. It adds water-based hydration without any heaviness.
- Sandalwood and rose for sensitive skin: Both are cooling ingredients traditionally used for sensitive, easily flushed skin.
Start from the concern, match it to the herb, and give the cream six weeks before judging it. To build the full routine around it, browse our complete face care range.
